Everything you need to know about booking a stay at Sandside House

I am delighted to welcome your party as my guests. Sandside House comes alive when it’s full of people, as it was designed for ( you can see some of the Victorian pictures in our archive section ). Do enjoy your stay and if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch. For your convenience, please see below for further contact information to assist your enjoyment of the house and the grounds.

Arrival

When approaching arrival time, please contact the housekeeper via email / phone so that we warmly welcome you upon your arrival and hand over the keys and Wifi code.

Guest Safety

I take the safety of my guests as the number one priority and have installed a fully integrated fire system and emergency lighting. Please familiarise all guests with emergency exit layout once settled in. Fire extinguishers are provided in all hallways and kitchens.

Your Children

Please ensure your children are supervised at all times within the house and within the policies. The mature trees within the policies can be subject to falling branches in high winds – please avoid these areas in such conditions.

Wood burning stoves

Please feel free to use the woodburning stoves withing the main drawing room, the pink room and the dining room. In the interests of safety, guests should not empty ashes or carry out the resetting of fires. Many country house fires have been caused by inappropriate disposal of hot ashes. Should you require a stove to be cleaned and reset, please contact the housekeeper who will be happy to do this for you.

Operation of Appliances

The operation of appliances is straight forward and most guests will be familiar with their use, however if you have any problems the housekeeper will be glad to help.

Refuse

Refuse bins are located at the north east corner of the building ( below the bay window in the dining room ) and are emptied weekly. The green bin is for general waste and the blue bin is for paper waste.

Departure.

When approaching your time to leave please contact the housekeeper, who will take back the keys.
