Booking form means the booking form specified by the owner and is to be used by all booking parties.
All online bookings are provisional until confirmed, and will only be accepted if submitted via an official Sandside House booking form. For bookings made more than eight weeks prior to arrival a deposit of 20% of the total rental price must be delivered with a completed booking form. For bookings made less than eight weeks prior to arrival the amount in full must be tendered with delivery of the booking form. In the event that the owners cannot accept a booking, all payments will be refunded immediately in full.
The balance of any additional charges are due eight weeks prior to arrival. A cautionary deposit of £1000 is due with the final payment (see condition 10). Failure to pay in full by the due date will be treated as cancellation by the owner and he may re-let the property without reference to the booking party, who will remain liable for payment of the full amount on the same principle as if the booking had been cancelled.
All booking parties are advised to take out personal cancellation insurance. Any request to cancel a booking must be sent via Email to the owner. Whilst the booking party remains liable for the final payment by the due date, the owner will offer the property for let and will use whatever means the consider reasonable to re-let during that time. The owner will endeavour to re-let the property in the event of a cancellation, however if unsuccessful, cancellation charges will be applied as follows: Cancellation eight weeks or more from arrival: 50% total rental cost Cancellation within eight weeks of arrival: 100% total rental cost
The owners reserve the right to amend prices quoted in the brochure, tariff form, or on the website.
The booking party acknowledges that he / she / they are authorised to sign both the booking and T&C forms on behalf of all persons who will occupy the property, and that those persons will be made aware of the said terms and conditions of the booking. Each member of the party must be listed on the booking form with their full name and any known allergies.
The owner will not be liable for any damage or injury caused to the party members or their property howsoever arising in respect that provided by the owner.
Party organisers are required to lodge a cautionary deposit of £1000 with the final payment. This sum will be held to cover any losses , damage, or additional cleaning charges that may arise if the property is left in an unsatisfactory condition. Charges for extra services may be deducted from this. The deposit less any deductions will be refunded within fourteen days of departure.
Letting commences at 18.00 on the date of arrival, and ends at 10.00 on the date of departure unless otherwise agreed.
If for any reason (beyond the control of the owner) the property is unavailable on the date booked, or the property is unsuitable for letting, all previously paid rent and charges will be refunded in full. In this event the party organiser agrees to have no further claim against the property or its owner.
In the event of a discrepancy between these conditions and any other information in the brochure or on the website, the conditions listed here will previal.
Any additional charges incurred must be settled on departure. Any late bills which may have not been charged to the party’s account will be forwarded for settlement after the event. In the event of any unpaid extras, the party organiser will be held liable for their settlement.
a) The party organiser will be responsible for the orderly conduct of their party during the stay. Due consideration must always be shown to Sandside property. Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions will result in the entire party being asked to vacate the premises. No refund will be given and additional charges will follow should they be required to cover damage. b) If any items have been delivered to Sandside House prior to the booking date, arrangements must be made between the party organiser, the owner, and those making the delivery. The owner will endeavour to keep items safe and will only accept responsibility if a full inspection can be made at the time of delivery. Any equipment or personal effects brought into Sandside House by the party members remain here at their your own risk, and the owners will not be held liable in the event of any loss, theft, or damage. c) Scotland operates a non-smoking policy in enclosed, public spaces. Sandside House is a non-smoking property and smoking is only permitted outside the premises. d) We welcome all well behaved dogs but require prior arrangement. e) Sandside House has three floors. Due to the age of the building we regrettably have no wheelchair access, and young children must be supervised at all times. f) In the interests of fire safety no candles or fireworks are to be used at Sandside House.
