Traditional Scottish Sporting Lodge

This self-catered accommodation has a very traditional Highland sporting lodge atmosphere with oak panelled rooms and corridors, royal stags heads aplenty, tartan carpeting and deer skin lined corridors (modernists beware!).

In House Entertainment

One of the rooms within the house is fitted with a pool table and smart flatscreen TV, which is adjacent to our in-house cosy bar, which, if required, can be stocked with cask beer supplied direct from the chiller in the cellar below. Please advise if you require the bar to be stocked.

The Drawing Room

The main drawing room is of grand proportions, allowing the full party to socialise together.

The Pink Room

The smaller cosy morning room, more commonly known as The Pink Room, captures the morning sun.

The Dining Room

The expansive primary dining room has panoramic views over Sandside Bay.

The Policies

The surrounding policies comprise of both garden and mature woodland, providing privacy and seclusion. The well kept Victorian walled garden within the grounds provides an ideal setting for wedding photographs, or simply relaxing and taking in the fresh Scottish air.

The Gardens

The upper lawn area provides stunning panoramic views over the Pentland Firth to the Orkney isles. To the west of the house, the resident duck population occupies the large duck pond. ( please note that Children should be supervised at all times within the policies ). Set within the grounds you shall find the Pictish Symbol Stones discovered nearby and installed at the house in the mid 1800s. These are listed by Historic Environment Scotland by being of national importance ( see if you can spot them! )
